Building the North East’s enterprise IT cluster to achieve national and international recognition for excellence in delivering IT software and services.
Dynamo is an industry-led initiative focusing on growing the tech sector in the North East. We have four streams of activity:
- Be a focal point for regional IT growth
- Promote our region externally
- Develop skills and education
- Support regional research and development
We believe the North East is a hotspot for tech firms in the UK. The region is home to several national and international players including Sage Software’s headquarters, as well as support offices for the UK Government’s DWP and HMRC and a range of local firms.
Dynamo is made up of IT organisations and employers, technology hubs, education, local government and employer support initiatives. To keep up to date with our work, please register for updates.
Jobs – Work with members to help to fill the region’s IT vacancies through initiatives such as apprentice hub, careers fairs and school engagement
Focus – Be the point of contact for the region’s enterprise IT industry & represent it at a local, national and international level
Growth – Encouraging the sector’s growth and supporting members’ business development goals – through running co-ordinated trade missions and skills initiatives on behalf of the region as a whole
Inward Investment – Joining the dots so that the North East becomes the natural destination for inward investment for enterprise IT, software and infrastructure services
Skills retention – Retain graduates, train apprentices, attract mature hires and supporting the learning sector from primary school to tertiary education
Regional Prosperity – Translate Dynamo’s work into increased regional prosperity “more and better jobs” and position our region to compete and win in the industries of the future
