Dynamites 15 – A glittering success! 1


Now in its second year, last week’s Dynamites 15, sponsored by BT, saw some of the region’s finest technology and IT talent gather at Newcastle’s Civic Centre for the now unmissable event. Officially the North East IT and Technology Awards, Dynamites 15 celebrated the region’s talent as well as growth and expansion in the fields of IT and technology.


Over 300 guests

Over 300 guests attended Dynamites this year,  which was compered by science presenter and TV journalist Kate Bellingham. Among those presenting awards on Thursday evening were guest sponsor judges Paul Lancaster (Tech North), Bob Paton (Accenture), Cllr Iain Malcolm (Invest South Tyneside), Jen Hartley (on behalf Invest North East England) and Simon Crosby (UKTI), Mike O’Brien (Opencast), Graeme Fletcher (Sage), Laura Sharpe (Sharpe Recruitment), Alastair Irons (University of Sunderland) and Simon Roberson (BT).

On the subject of the awards and the winners, Dynamo’s Chair Charlie Hoult said:

“These outstanding players deserve recognition for the part they are playing in helping establish the region as the UK’s leading IT hub for growth, innovation and creativity.”
