A lifetime seems to have passed by in the last few weeks, everything that we took for granted has been turned on its head. Social distancing has meant that all physical events have had to be cancelled, or at least postponed while people focus on keeping their businesses and their lives together rather than future.
This month we had to postpone our Dynamo Dinner at the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead. This will now be held provisionally on 9 July and original tickets will be valid. Assuming that the world is getting back to normal by then, we will be making more tickets available closer to the date.
We have also taken the decision to make this year’s Dynamo Conference virtual. Our sponsors are keen to support the event on 25 June. Dynamo’s focus is on how we can fill the gap between now and when people will be allowed to gather again and we will be running various virtual events and webinars.
Helping North East SMEs With Remote Working on 26 March was a case in point, a webinar which saw four industry figures talking about how they are coping during the lockdown. More events like this are being planned but if there is something specific you are looking for then please get in touch. Don’t forget our team of innovation managers who are happy to help your business or signpost you to useful information.
As for CyberNorth, the cluster that I lead, we too are planning a series of online events over the summer. #CyberFest is coming together nicely for September though it is likely that some dates will move into October. If you are interested in speaking, sponsoring or attending then emerging details can be found here.
Look after yourselves.
