Our UK client base covers a range of sectors, including automotive, finance, the public sector, and supply chain & logistics. The most recent addition to our software portfolio is Deepeo, a data management software solution that assists organisations with GDPR compliance.

What are the benefits of basing your business in the North East?

As well as offering a wealth of technical innovation and resources, the North East is host to a number of thriving business sectors such as automotive, banking & finance, IT, the public sector, and business services. The region is fast making a name for itself as a major UK technology hub, with many tech companies moving away from London and making their way further north. The region’s excellent transport links for both domestic and international travel mean we can easily support our customers in other locations.

What have the past 2 years taught you?

The most significant learning curve over the last two years has been the Covid-19 pandemic. Like so many other companies, we have learned that meetings can be just as productive remotely as in person, which has resulted in us making a permanent move to hybrid working and a reduction in business travel. However, we have also learned that networking is significantly harder and less enjoyable when there are no physical events to attend. We are very much looking forward to getting into full swing with regular networking events and we have enjoyed getting back to a few already this year.

What are your business objectives for the next 12 months?

As well as continuing our year-on-year growth and expanding the UK team, one of our objectives is to promote our data management software, Deepeo. Deepeo has been enjoying success in the financial sector for some time now, but only officially launched last November at the IRMS conference in Birmingham and is still new to the market. We are in the process of expanding our marketing team so we can focus on building the Deepeo brand in the UK and throughout mainland Europe. An active part of our brand awareness strategy includes attending a number of conferences and events over the next year.

In addition to our plans for the UK and mainland Europe, we have international expansion plans for 2022, with some exciting news being announced in the coming months. For now, though, we can’t tell you any more.

What are your hopes for the future of the North East’s tech and digital industry?

We hope for the local tech industry to carry the same trajectory of growth and innovation that we are seeing currently. As mentioned previously, we are seeing a lot of technology firms moving away from London and choosing the North East as their new home. The region is on a firm track to securing a place on the map as a major UK technology hub. We are very excited to see the developments.

Why did you join Dynamo?

Being a member of Dynamo offers great networking opportunities for us. Through Dynamo, we can connect with many organisations across the North East and stay firmly in the loop with the region’s latest news and upcoming events.
