Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
As a North East tech network, Dynamo North East wants to play our part in diversifying the North East tech sector. We realise that we need to do more to ensure we represent our diverse society and support the region’s SMEs and wider tech community to do the same.
We presented several eye opening statistics in our 1st phase of initial findings and survey which was designed to carry out research into the diversity of the North East tech sector. It put us in a place where we had to introspect as well as realise the realities that give birth to bias, racism, ignorance and injustice at grassroot level.
We are delighted to have launched our 2022 EDI report for the North East tech sector. If you are a Dynamo member and you’d like to access a copy, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request a copy.
In response to our research and the identified need for practical support for SME tech businesses we have produced an equality, diversity & inclusion toolkit. The kit offers guidance and practical tools to help you draft your ED&I action plan and take positive steps towards being more diverse and inclusive.
You can download the toolkit in full or access selected elements depending on where you are on your ED&I journey and what support you are looking for.
