NOTE: Entries are open to ALL organisations in the North East tech sector, you do not need to be a Dynamo member.

 

BEST USE OF DATA

The Best Use of Data Award will recognise innovative activity rooted in data-driven insight. The winning work will show that data was used not only to solve a problem but how it contributed to the overall mission. For example, data could have been used to; inform and improve decision making, revamp and refine operations, create new streams of revenue or accelerate social impact.

 

EQUALITY, DIVERSITY & INCLUSION

The Diversity and Inclusion Award is for an individual, team, organisation or network taking positive action and making significant contribution to create an equitable, diverse, and inclusive digital sector either within the workplace or wider community including education, public and third sectors.

 

GROWTH EXPLOSION

The Growth Explosion Award is a celebration of growth and success of IT and tech organisations in the North East – job opportunities, building companies, expanding through wider field projects. Nominations are expected from both scale up and established organisations in the North East, making an impact on the region.

INNOVATOR OF THE YEAR  

The Innovator of the Year Award will recognise individuals or teams who have developed a ground-breaking product or service for the IT and tech industry.

PROJECT OF THE YEAR (CORPORATE)

This award recognises projects that have delivered exceptional impact on the IT and tech industry within a corporate setting. For example, projects could demonstrate innovative solutions, clever programming, a near-shore project that is operating for UK corporates or a development for an international firm.

PROJECT OF THE YEAR (NOT FOR PROFIT / PUBLIC SECTOR)

This award recognises IT and tech projects delivered within not for profit or public sector arenas. For example, projects could demonstrate innovative solutions for a new academic insight or a revamp of a public sector system. Nominations can be from collaborative projects between the public and private sector.

 

RISING STAR AWARD

The Rising Star Award will recognise an individual with less than 3 years experience in the IT and tech sector who goes above and beyond to combine their ‘day job’ with extra projects beyond work. They will have made a strong impact in their role showing leadership potential ahead of their grade.

The Skills Developer Award will recognise organisations and individuals who are excelling in innovative training, initiatives or apprenticeship programmes that contribute to the development of the North East skills pipeline.

SUSTAINABILITY IN TECH – New for 2022

This award is open to any organisation that is taking steps to make a positive impact on the environment or supporting others. We are looking for organisations that are using technology or other innovations to reduce carbon emissions and improving overall sustainability of their business and stakeholders.

TECH FOR GOOD

This award will recognise an organisation or individual who uses digital technology to improve the lives of others and make the world a better place. This award shines a light on the projects, organisations or individuals that harness the power of technology to benefit the community.

A ‘Tech Champion’ can be defined as an individual or organisation who has gone above and beyond for the benefit of the North East tech sector. They have the passion, intent and drive to learn, embrace change and set an example for others to follow. They are passionate about helping others to collaborate and share their knowledge.
