North East-based furniture designer and manufacturer, Godfrey Syrett, has appointed leading law firm for businesses, Muckle LLP to support its future growth.
Godfrey Syrett recently announced growth plans to take its turnover to £50m by 2020. Newcastle-based Muckle has been appointed to provide expert commercial and legal advice on strategic development across the business.
The growth plans had come following the appointment of a new chairman, Mark R Dixon, in 2017, who raised the company’s previous target from £40m to £50m by 2020.
Dixon, chief executive and chairman at Godfrey Syrett, said: “We are delighted to be working with Muckle LLP.
“It was important to us to find suppliers who truly understand the business, and due to the synergy between our two companies, we believe we’ve found the ideal partner.
“Both businesses have longstanding heritage, North East roots and a commitment to the local area – and similar to us, Muckle also work on both a local and national scale, meaning they truly understand our business and growth prospects.
“We look forward to a successful partnership with the Muckle team as they assist with our continued growth and transformation.”
Muckle LLP supports businesses with practical, personal and professional advice.
Hugh Welch, senior partner at Muckle LLP, added: “We are delighted to be announced as Godfrey Syrett’s commercial and strategic development advisers.
“With their exciting plans for future growth and expansion, it is vitally important that both businesses work closely together to ensure strategic growth and timescales are delivered in line with commercial targets and legal requirements.
“Godfrey Syrett is renowned for its forward-thinking approach and commitment to delivering the highest quality results – exactly what we strive for at Muckle – and we are excited to be working with them.”
