THE region’s biggest tech conference will this year have a virtual and in-person offering.

Dynamo 22, supported by headline partner Sage, will be held across two half days – a virtual event on Tuesday, June 21 and in-person at Northumbria University on Wednesday, June 22.

The annual Dynamo conference attracts delegates from the region’s leading and growing IT and software companies, local councils, specialist professional services, universities and colleges, and other related industries.

The conference is delivered by regional tech network Dynamo and tickets are discounted for Dynamo members and students.

Dynamo members have until 5pm on Thursday, April 7 to submit ideas for breakout sessions, which should be between 30 and 60 minutes in length.

Charlie Hoult, Chair of Dynamo, explained: “We’re well on with our preparations for Dynamo 22 and at this stage we’re inviting Dynamo members to help us curate and deliver breakout sessions for either day of our conference.

“This year our focus will be more on interactive sessions covering topics and challenges faced by our industry and where we can come together collaboratively to share ideas, offer solutions and build on relationships.

“Sessions should be curated by our members, but other contributors can be invited to take part in sessions. Topics we’re interested in should link back to our Dynamo and workstream activity, details of which can be found on our website, as can a form to submit your idea –”

Michael Office, Vice President of UKI Product, Sage, added: “2022 is the year of the north east’s tech industry. Our region is uniquely placed to take full advantage of the acceleration in tech adoption across our everyday personal and professional lives. Dynamo 22 is the place where our brightest tech minds come together to share ideas, collaborate and knock down barriers so we attract the very best talent to the north east and build a strong pipeline of future innovators who choose our region to learn their craft.”

If you would like to support Dynamo 22 as a partner, contact for more information. Various packages available including Event Partner, Digital Programme and Support Partner.

Charlie added: “Last year’s online conference went extremely well, but we thought it important that we move toward normality and provide in-person and virtual opportunities to attend.”
