#CyberFest, the North East’s largest cyber security festival is now in its third year, with ten events across the region throughout September. The aim of #CyberFest is to raise awareness of cyber security activities across the region as part of our mission ‘To Make the North East the place for cyber security.’
#CyberFest 2020 is planned to be bigger and better than last year with a range of events covering businesses, students, the general public and cyber security providers.

Date: 4-5 September, full days
Consisting of talks and workshops. BSides Newcastle is to help build the community of InfoSec in the North East
Aimed at: Technical community.
Cyber Security Needs You!
Date: 8 September, 2-6pm
Theme: Joint University of Sunderland and Institute of Coding event. One-day mix of practical and presentations around cyber security.
Aimed at: Students and people who would like to progress within the cyber industry.

National Cyber Security Centre and CyberFirst

Theme: The season finale is a joint event with Breeze Creatives, Sunderland University, Creative Fuse, ISACA, ISC2, NELHS and OWASP. Bringing creativity to cyber security. The event will include a collaborative cyber related artwork.
